The role of AI in staffing continues to grow in 2026, but human connection remains central to successful hiring, a trend also reflected in Staffing Success from the American Staffing Association. 

AI is being used to improve efficiency, surface insights, and streamline communication, helping recruiters work faster and more effectively. 

According to Staffing Hub’s 2025 State of Staffing report, AI adoption has reached 61%, up from 48% the year prior. Bullhorn’s Global Recruitment Insights and Data report shows firms using AI are twice as likely to have grown revenue. However, 32% report no measurable impact, often due to how success is defined rather than the technology itself. 

Even small gains, like saving 5% to 10% of recruiter time, can create meaningful capacity for higher-value work such as candidate engagement and relationship building. The difference comes down to implementation, alignment, and leadership adoption.
